For client with $1M in revenue, recorded three key managers including business owner, and created nine tracks averaging about eight minutes each. Created anchor SoundCloud account, published over two+ weeks, then distributed to Google+, Facebook, and WordPress. We started in March and now really getting traction.
Created wordpress account, since redoing ‘old legacy’ account proved to be too difficult, much as I wished to do so. Existing provider was willing to give reasonable terms, and while not likely to use them even then, the DRAFT of the webpage was and is more important than the fact.
Before you have an audience or grown one, you have to get one. Found that with activity in social media, views could be captured, but once crank stopped turning, volume dried up. Conclusion, they REALLY need a CRM to distribute the content, and REALLY need a physical brochure–as well–to get word out on website. Its chicken and egg. April had 31 views, May 53, June 133, but July will not hit 200, and thus 400 views for August is not likely to happen, as I much need their buy in to more podcasts. This is NOT a money issue, but probably a time issue, as this is their busy season, and set to tear HALF their main facility down, to build a $6M building.
The result is, we all work well together, and I am ramping them up for launch not now, but for March. At that time, we cannot ‘go get an audience’ but have to have one in place. Also, we need to sync all their PC’s, with data all over. Plenty for me to do!! I do as much as I can on limited budged, and care SO deeply!
